November is a month which we celebrate the feasts of All Saints and All Souls. This year the feast of All Saints is not a holy day of obligation. The feast will only be celebrated at a Saturday, November 1, 8:00 am Mass. The 4:30 Mass on Saturday and the two Sunday Masses will be the feast of All Souls, the Commemoration of all the Faithful Departed.
November is also the month we emphasize Stewardship. As in the past there will be stewardship packets in thevestibule of the church for you to pick up, fill out, and return. Your cooperation helps us with the expense of mailing. Todd Miller is our stewardship chairperson this year. There will be a talk at two weekend liturgies as in the past.
On November 16 at the 8:30 am Mass there will be the Rite of Acceptance for those in the R.C.I.A. who wish to continue. Diana Wolfe, our director, as well as all who are helping, have just been wonderful. Please keep our candidates and catechumens in your prayers. We are presently asking for sponsors.
On November 25 we will have a Lock-In for our high school students. Keep up the spirit!
Lastly, it doesn’t seem possible

but November 30th is the First Sunday of Advent. Prior to this we will have bids from three different companies on our church project, as they will be returned to the rectory at 4:00 p.m. on November 20th. The companies bidding are Hentzen Contractors, Simpson and Associates, and Sauerwein Construction.
This is a day in the week that I am having three funerals so I need to close. I am looking forward to Saturday, October 25, with the Fall Festival.
