FIRST GRADE SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
The school year is off to a great start. Thank you for sharing such wonderful children with me. Your children will learn a lot in First Grade.
RELIGION – We will learn about belonging to the Catholic Church and about the Mass. The children will come to know that God is a Loving Father and that Baptism is a wonderful gift.
The whole school will attend adoration on the first Friday of every month. This is a wonderful experience.
HANDWRITING- We will begin to learn the proper way to write the lower-case letters.
MATH- Numbers, Number Words, and Ordinals
LANGUAGE ARTS-Beginning and ending sounds

SOCIAL ST.- Rules and Communities
SCIENCE- Students will learn about some common science tools and discuss scientific investigations.
