School Council Communicator News March 2008
The School Council has been working on the information gathering phase of Strategic Planning. By combining our efforts with the Masters of Business Administration Team from Wichita State University, we have executed focus group discussions and prepared and distributed survey questionnaires. Many hours have been put into this project and many more are yet to come as data is evaluated.
We have prepared surveys for Parishioners who do not have children in school, Parents of our school children, Teachers, Students in grades 5-8 and Alumni. We feel that by surveying all of these categories, we will be able to evaluate many points of interest by assessing opinions in common as well as differences across categories. Additionally, we focused our questions to cover areas of interest in Catholic Identity, Academics, Finance, Facilities, Communications & Public Relations.
We have been very blessed to have the professional assistance and direction of the Masters of Business Administration Team from Wichita State University (Barton School Of Business) assisting us through the process. They conducted the focus group sessions and with much input from us they have developed questions that will enable us to cross analyze data among categories. This is being done free of charge as an MBA project available only to non-profit groups. Most of these young professionals work in the Wichita community and have experience in conducting research and data analysis. It is very exciting to have them on board with us.
Your input on the survey is important.
We are hopeful to have many responses from each of the categories.
All Surveys are due by March 31, 2008,
except for the Parishioners which will deadline on April 7, 2008
Thank you for your participation,
St. Jude School Council
